The 'beard parade' at Golden Globes 2017

The Golden Globe Awards took over Beverly Hills, CA, on Sunday night, and in addition to the gorgeous red carpet dresses, we couldn't take our eyes off all the dapper men.

What's black, white, and (carnation) red all over? A hot Gos in Gucci.

Let’s focus on the little details that set him apart: the bow tie is velvet (which is very difficult to tie), the shoes are also crushed velvet but lace-ups not slippers, and the boutonniere is in his breast pocket, rather than pinned to the shawl lapel. If you think any of these details are by accident, then you’ve probably never created a great brand.

Extra points for the bell shaped ‘stache.

Milo Ventimiglia said his navy blue made-to-measure Ralph Lauren Purple Label shawl-collar tuxedo, “moved like smoke” . Let’s be honest: A moustache can go really wrong, really fast. But actor Milo Ventimiglia pulled off the old-school look by letting it stand on its own. His impeccably tailored Ralph Lauren suit and slicked back hair were perfect for the black tie event—and the ‘stache added just the right bit of personality.

Not so much the nerd off- screen

Rami Malek, Mr. Robot - Nominee, Best Performance By An Actor In A TV Series slayed the red carpet in Dior Homme. The green-black  boutonniere detailing on the lapel is very interesting. Rami Malek’s waist coat has a mind of its own and is an absolute hit. The last two buttons create a glorious look at the bottom of the coat and it's nothing like anything that has been seen before.

Another perfect look

Joel Edgerton is another celebrity whose waistcoat is nothing short of perfect. The double breasted collared style and that charming smile makes him look so effortlessly classy.

The young fashionistas

The cast of Netflix's "Stranger Things" came out in full force to dominate the red carpet. They look adorably dapper in their colour-coordinating tuxes. The young men of the sci-fi thriller of the summer,  Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), and Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) showed up together in sleek suits with design details that should not go unnoticed.
And the Award for Fashion Risk-Taker went to...Donald Glover in his velvet sienna brown suit.

Donald Glover sure is experimental when it comes to fashion. The brown velvet suits says it all! As much as everyone loved this retro look with an oversized bow tie, there are a couple of details that make it a lean more kitschy and a little less suave. The ticket pocket does seem a little too muc especially on a velvet suit.

And the winner is… You know we all love a woman in tailoring.

Evan Rachel Wood wore a custom Altuzarra tuxedo that paid homage to Marlene Dietrich -- and made for one of the most memorable menswear looks of the night.

Double breasted done right!

Tom Hiddleston wears a Gucci suit at the 74th annual Golden Globe Awards, Tom Ford of course wore one of his own creations, Eddie Redmayne in a Prada and Chris Pine wore a Giorgio Armani.

Because no one can resist a man in a tux!

Here are some more flawless looks from the 74th Golden Globes, which really caught our eye.

Matt Bomer, Justin Timberlake, Dev Patel, Casey Affleck, Leonardo di Caprio, Riz Ahmed, Ryan Reynolds, Brad Pitt and Andrew Garefield all with their own take on the classic red carpet look, although we do wish Di Caprio had paid a little heed to the length of his trousers.

We’ve had an extravagant Golden Globes this year with each celebrity looking better than the other and giving the fashion world something exciting to talk about! Let's hope this inspires you to get out there and experiment!
